Symptoms of a Bad HVAC System
Moisture Buildup
If there’s a significant amount of moisture building up in your passenger compartment, you’re likely experiencing an HVAC system malfunction. Within your HVAC system are components called evaporator coils. These coils are responsible for removing moisture from your heavy-duty vehicle’s passenger compartment. Unfortunately, these coils are prone to clogging in certain trucks, hence the moisture buildup. At Freeway Truck Repair, we know evaporator coils like the backs of our hands. Weak Airflow
Are you not getting enough air out of your air ducts? If so, you probably have a clogged cabin air filter. Just like the one in your engine, your cabin air filter is designed to filter out impurities and prevent them from entering your HVAC system. Not only can impurities and other debris clog up your system, but they can cause you physical harm if they’re inhaled. Over time the debris collected by these filters causes them to clog, therefore restricting airflow. Fortunately, this is an easy fix, for all you need to do is replace the filter.
